Manipur violence: Assam Rifles and Churachandpur District administration evacuate 518 stranded people

Imphal (Manipur), May 09 (ANI): Under the initiative of the Coordination Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), KSO, Churachandpur District Administration and 9 sector Assam Rifles evacuated 518 stranded people including medical students and shifted them to Imphal on May 08.“This was a very unfortunate incident which happened in Manipur. Law and Order have improved now tremendously. We are safely evacuating the people to different places in Imphal,” said Khumanthem Diana Devi, District Magistrate, Imphal East.
